Position Summary
The Senior UX/UI Designer is a mid-senior creative role responsible for shaping intuitive, modern, and strategically sound digital experiences across websites, apps, and interactive platforms. This role combines research, strategy, and design craft to create user experiences that balance client goals with audience needs.
Unlike staff-level UX/UI Designers, the Senior role is expected to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and represent UX/UI thinking in client-facing conversations. You will conduct research, translate insights into wireframes and prototypes, and build high-fidelity designs in Figma that align with the client’s creative standards. A strong grasp of UI/UX heuristics, accessibility, and digital best practices is critical.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead UX/UI design projects from research and strategy through to prototypes and final design systems.
- Conduct user research, persona development, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Translate findings into wireframes, information architectures, and interactive prototypes.
- Create high-fidelity, production-ready designs in Figma, ensuring scalability and system consistency.
- Apply modern UX heuristics, accessibility standards, and digital best practices across all deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation and smooth handoff of designs.
- Partner with strategists, writers, and designers to ensure UX/UI aligns with brand voice and campaign goals.
- Present design concepts, prototypes, and user flows to clients with clarity and confidence.
- Mentor junior UX/UI designers, sharing best practices, critique, and professional guidance.
- Contribute to the client’s internal design systems, style guides, and prototyping standards.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, with significant agency or product design experience.
- A portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, prototyping, and modern digital design systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping).
- Strong knowledge of UX/UI heuristics, accessibility standards (WCAG/ADA), and responsive design practices.
- Proficiency in prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, InVision, Axure) and usability testing platforms.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end standards to facilitate developer collaboration.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey design ideas to clients and internal teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Digital Media, or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
This is a full-time, exempt position requiring approximately 40 hours per week, with flexibility for project and client needs. Work is hybrid, combining remote and in-office collaboration. Occasional travel may be required for client workshops or presentations. Extended periods of computer use, prototyping, and digital design are expected.
